My success on Twitter and this newsletter came when I started really leaning into my brand as hard as possible and exclusively creating content around that brand.

Here is how I formed my brand identity and my process for turning that identity into content:

The first thing I’d like you to do is open up a fresh Google Sheet!

Next, let’s start building your identity. In this new Google Sheet, I want you to list your interests and passions in the first column. Here’s what mine looks like after some brainstorming:

This is a great place to start forming our brand identity. Fifteen subjects are a lot to build an identity around. The goal now will be to reduce these to just 3. And ideally, these three will have an intersection. Here’s what mine looks like now:
