I’ve long preached daily reading is the healthiest habit you can maintain. 95% of people aren’t reading regularly. Just by reading half an hour a day, you are putting yourself in the top 5% of your field. It’s invaluable. If you want to harness a growth mindset, you must carve out time to read productive books regularly.
However, you could be wasting time if you aren’t getting the most out of your reading. Knowledge retention is key. I’ve been developing a system over the past several years since I’ve become serious about reading.
In this post, I’ll go over my strategies for learning from both physical books and ebooks. I enjoy reading physical books more but unfortunately ebooks, specifically on Kindle, are WAY better at note-taking and information retention. If you haven’t switched to the Kindle and are serious about learning from what you’re reading, I’d highly recommend considering ebooks.
